2026: The Year of Momentum | Another Design and the Milan Design Week

As the Lunar New Year of 2026 begins, Another Design International enters a transformative era of global influence. In the Year of the Horse—a symbol of unbridled energy and spirited progression—the studio is not merely practising design; we are defining the very benchmarks of the industry.

This season marks a significant international narrative for the studio, focusing on the intersection of academic authority and the realisation of our latest signature expressions in bespoke craftsmanship.

I. Strategic Disclosure: The Milan Design Week 2026 Reveal

Synchronising with Global Aesthetics and Material Innovation

April marks the pinnacle of the global design calendar as the world’s focus shifts to the Salone del Mobile and Milan Design Week 2026. In alignment with this international celebration of excellence, Another Design International is pleased to disclose its latest bespoke furniture collection.

This signature series distils our architectural philosophy into functional art. Developed with the same rigour we apply to large-scale structural interventions, the collection focuses on the synthesis of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary narratives. By synchronising this reveal with the global pulse of Milan, the studio reaffirms its commitment to the total environment—ensuring that the standards we advocate for on global juries are physically manifested in the objects we create for the world’s most refined interiors.

II. Global Adjudication: Defining International Design Standards

The 2026 Grand Jury Appointments of Pal Pang

True leadership in the architectural world is found in the power to define excellence. For the 2025–2026 season, our Chief Creative Officer, Pal Pang, has been appointed to the Grand Jury of three of the world’s most prestigious international design programmes. These appointments solidify the studio’s position as a primary authority in global adjudication:

  1. ADC (Architecture & Design Collection) Awards 2026: Sitting at the academic pinnacle of global architectural evaluation.

  2. London Design Awards: Defining the contemporary standards of our home city, the world’s design capital.

  3. BLT Built Design Awards: Judging the world’s most significant completed architectural masterpieces.

By evaluating thousands of entries from across the globe, we ensure that the international design benchmarks we help set are reflected in every detail of our own studio’s work, from our architectural interventions to our bespoke furniture designs.

III. Intellectual Rigour: The Ian Ritchie Dialogue

A Strategic Exchange on Contemporary Design Responsibility

A leading practice does more than create space; it creates thought leadership. We are pleased to announce that Architecture Collection Magazine has confirmed the exclusive publication of a strategic dialogue between Pal Pang and the distinguished British architect Ian Ritchie, CBE RA.

This exchange explores the shifting structural responsibilities of the designer in 2026, focusing on the synthesis of technical innovation and the human experience. This scholarly contribution will be released alongside our new collection in April, offering our supporters a narrative that extends from the philosophical depth of architecture into the tangible reality of the objects we live with.

Forward Motion: Our 2026 Global Vision

The Year of the Horse is a time for those with vision to lead the charge. From this season onward, we invite our clients, collaborators, and peers to join us as we witness a shift in global aesthetics—starting from our London studio and resonating across the international design stage.

We look forward to sharing the details of our latest collection with the international design community this April.
